About Us:

From a chance encounter with a homeless father and son in 1990, the seeds of Mamma's Hands were planted by our Co-Founders, Denny and Leslie Hancock. In 1994 the doors of the first House of Hope home were opened.  Over the past 31 years we have served hundreds of mothers and children in a safe and compassionate home environment. Professional support services help families learn healthy parenting skills, gain confidence through continued education and job readiness activities, and address barriers such as domestic violence, drug and alcohol addiction, and mental health issues. Today we operate two homes on 10 acres of property nestled at the base of the Cascade Mountains. Through the support and generosity of so many, we continue to offer hope, healing, and a path forward to every family that walks through the doors of the House of Hope.
